1. What this site is
Fixed in China is an independent information and comparison platform. It publishes price ranges, wait times, and hospital directory information to help readers compare medical care in the United States and China. It is not a hospital, clinic, medical practice, health insurer, travel agency, medical tourism agency, or booking service. We do not arrange, sell, or provide medical treatment, and we do not act as an agent for any hospital, doctor, insurer, hotel, or airline named on this site.
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
2. Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation, and nothing here creates a doctor–patient relationship between you and us or between you and any hospital listed. Always consult a qualified medical professional about your own condition, whether a procedure is appropriate for you, and what the risks are. Do not delay seeking medical care, and do not travel for treatment, on the basis of anything you read here. If you have a medical emergency, seek emergency care immediately.
Complications can occur after a procedure, including after you have returned home. Arrange your follow-up care in advance — know who will see you if something goes wrong, and what your insurance will and will not cover for complications. This matters most for the high-risk procedures flagged on this site.
Some procedures carry serious risks. Where a procedure page flags a procedure as high-risk or restricted for foreign patients (for example, Brazilian butt lift, and fertility treatment), that flag is a warning to seek professional advice — it is not a complete account of the risks. Rules and restrictions for foreign patients can change, and we do not verify whether you are eligible for any procedure. Confirm your eligibility directly with the hospital and with a qualified medical professional before travelling.
3. Prices are estimates only, not quotes
Every price on this site is an estimate only, not a quote. Prices are shown as ranges because the final price depends on the hospital, the doctor, the technique and materials used, your medical condition, and what is included in the package. No price on this site is a promise of what you will pay.
China prices are estimates based on the sources named on each page and on our How we price page, last checked on the date shown on that page. They are not hospital quotes: hospitals in China generally confirm a final price only after reviewing your medical records. United States prices are cash ranges from the sources named on each page; they are not insurance-negotiated rates and not a promise of what any specific hospital will charge you.
Where no single price exists — for example, the three bundle items with no published package price — the page says so and shows the sourced components instead. Every price carries an evidence label (A Published Price, B Research-Based Estimate, C Preliminary Modeled Estimate, D Insufficient Evidence) with its source and last-checked date; see our How we price page. Where only part of a price is known (for example, a surgeon's fee without facility and anaesthesia costs), the page says what is and is not included. Savings shown by the trip calculator are estimated ranges calculated from those estimates, not guaranteed savings.
Prices change. Exchange rates change (the site uses ¥6.69 = $1, rate updated Nov 5, 2026, unless a page states otherwise). We update pages when we can, but we do not guarantee that any price on the site is current on the day you read it. Always confirm the price, what is included, and the payment terms directly with the hospital before travelling.
4. No guarantee of outcomes, availability, or travel
We do not guarantee treatment outcomes, waiting times, appointment availability, hospital admission, visa approval, flight or hotel availability, or that any hospital will accept you as a patient. Wait times, hospital information, and directory listings are based on information available on the dates stated on each page and may have changed. Hospitals may change their services, doctors, prices, and international-patient policies without notice.
5. Hospitals and paid placement
Hospitals listed on this site are independent organisations. Listing a hospital is not an endorsement of that hospital or its doctors, and it does not mean we have a partnership with, or receive payment from, that hospital, unless the page says so. Where any listing, placement, or content is paid for, it will be clearly labelled as such and kept separate from our verified rankings and price comparisons.
6. Affiliate links and referrals
Some links on this site may be affiliate links — for example, links to flight, hotel, insurance, or booking services. If you book or buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A commission never affects the prices, rankings, or comparisons on this site, and we do not recommend a service because it pays us. Affiliate links are labelled where they appear. 7. Insurance information is general information only
Any information on this site about health insurance — including international medical insurance, Chinese public insurance, and travel insurance — is general information only, not insurance advice and not a recommendation to buy any policy. Coverage, premiums, exclusions, waiting periods, and direct-billing arrangements depend on the insurer, the plan, your age, residence, nationality, and medical history. Confirm coverage in writing with the insurer before you travel.
In particular: standard travel insurance generally does not cover a planned procedure abroad or complications arising from it. The procedure itself is normally self-pay. Separate medical travel complication insurance and emergency evacuation cover exist as different products — check what any policy you buy actually covers before relying on it.
8. Trip calculator
The trip calculator is an estimating tool. Flight and hotel costs in the trip calculator are auto-estimated from the published sources named on the calculator, and you can change any of them. Those estimates are not supplied or verified by us beyond the sources named, and the miscellaneous allowance is a flat figure we set, not a researched price. Its results are estimated only and are not a quote, a booking, or a financial commitment of any kind.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fixed in China and its owners, operators, and contributors are not liable for any loss, cost, injury, or damage arising from your use of this site or from any decision you make based on its content — including the cost of treatment, travel, accommodation, or complications, and including any outcome of medical care you receive from a third party. Your relationship, and any contract, for medical care is between you and the hospital or provider you choose, not with us.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fixed in China and its owners, operators, and contributors from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of this site or your reliance on the information on it.
10. Third-party links and content
This site links to third-party websites (hospitals, insurers, and sources) for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices.
11. Accuracy, corrections, and changes
We aim to keep the information on this site accurate and clearly sourced, and we correct errors when we find them. If you spot an error, please report it to [email protected] and we will check it. But information can be out of date or incomplete, and we do not warrant that it is error-free. We may change any content on this site, including these terms, at any time without notice. The version in force is the one published on this page.
12. Your information and privacy
The trip calculator and any contact or enquiry forms on this site may involve health-related information — for example, the procedure you are considering. We handle that information as described in our Privacy Policy, which covers what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We do not sell your personal data. By using the calculator or a form, you agree to that handling. If you submit medical records or documents to us, only send what we ask for, and do not send anything you would not want stored.
13. Content ownership and permitted use
All content on this site — including text, price data, tables, and images — is owned by Fixed in China or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, or reuse our price data or other content, in whole or in part, for any commercial purpose or public use without our prior written permission. Linking to our pages is welcome.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of this site, are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
